I have launched another business…

I’m excited to be announcing that I am launching another business, the next chapter, something I’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while now. After months of planning, dreaming, and putting in the work, I’m so glad I can finally say that the next chapter is here. This new venture means a lot to me, and I can't wait to share the journey, the vision, and the heart behind it all.
So, let’s start from the beginning. Back in November 2018, I launched my very first business — Maude & Noah. It started off as a jewellery brand, with a focus on personalised, engraved pieces. I designed each piece myself, had them manufactured by a jeweller, and partnered with another company to do the engraving. Sadly, that company eventually went under, and I struggled to find a replacement that offered both the quality and affordability I needed.
I introduced candles to the range, and over time, Maude & Noah evolved into more of a home fragrance and gift shop. I made a big move — from Leicester to Harrogate — and with that came a shift in the business too. The jewellery side abruptly left, but the passion I had for it never left. That love for creating meaningful, wearable pieces always stayed with me.
During all of this, I was still working a regular job — one that I genuinely loved. But over the past few years, things started to shift. Internal company feuds and separations made it harder and harder to stay, and after countless sleepless nights and more tears than I care to admit, I knew I needed something new. Something that brought me joy. Something that was mine and only mine.

That’s when I found myself coming back to jewellery — that old love I never really let go of. I started designing pieces again and considered launching them under Maude & Noah, but deep down, I knew I wanted a fresh start. A new space, a new energy. But what would I even call it? I spent ages thinking about the right name, until one day it just clicked — The Next Chapter. It felt perfect.
Not long after, life threw me another curveball — I was made redundant from my job. I’ll be honest, I nearly cancelled the whole launch. I told myself to just focus on getting another job, to play it safe. But then I stopped and thought: I’ve had a rough few years. I’ve put everyone else — family, friends, colleagues — before myself. I’ve run myself into the ground trying to be everything for everyone. the next chapter isn’t just a business name — it’s a promise to myself. I’m turning 30 this year, and I want something to be proud of. I want my parents to be proud. And while I don’t have the big budget I once did, I’ve made it work with a small, meaningful launch — with many more to come.
So how did the next chapter come to life? Well, once I had the name, everything started falling into place. I designed the logo, built the website from scratch, started creating social media content, and began the exciting (and slightly nerve-wracking) process of getting samples made. And now — here we are. the next chapter has officially launched, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with you.
The first launch is simple, intentional, and meaningful. It features two styles of chains, each available in three different lengths. Then there are the SIMPLISTIC charms — minimal, timeless pieces that you can mix and match, purchased separately and added to your chosen chain.
Jewellery has always meant more to me than just something to wear. It tells a story. I used to wear two Pandora rings every day — one gifted by my parents for my 18th, and another for my 21st, sadly they don't fit my fat fingers anymore. I still treasure my beautiful Michael Kors watch, a gift from dear family friends for my 21st birthday. And tucked away, I have a jewellery box filled with pieces my Grandad gave me — they belonged to my Grandmother, who sadly passed away when I was just a baby. I never got to know her, but through those pieces, I feel connected to her. Every item has a memory, a moment, a meaning.
That’s exactly what I want the next chapter to be — jewellery with a story. This is just the beginning. I’m already working on new charms to launch soon, and I’m hoping that each piece someone chooses will hold a special place in their own story too.

If you’ve made it this far — thank you. Whether you’ve supported my blog or Maude & Noah from the beginning, are just discovering the next chapter, or are simply here out of curiosity, I’m truly grateful. Launching a new business, especially after a tough few years, hasn’t been easy… but it’s already been so worth it. This brand is a reflection of my journey, my resilience, and my love for storytelling through jewellery. I hope you find something you connect with, something that speaks to your story, and something you’ll treasure for years to come.
Here’s to the next chapter — for me, for you, and for all the stories still to be written.
